Scenes from the Ace Hotel, NYC

The Ace is by far my favorite hotel chain. You might remember by obsession with the Ace, Palm Springs earlier this summer.
I was very pleased when due to the blizzard on the East coast over the holidays, we were forced to spend an extra night in the city. We immediately booked a room at the Ace Hotel for the evening.
We checked in right after 3pm and didn't leave again until we had to catch our ferry back to New Jersey the next afternoon.
Here's a little peek at the Breslin, the restaurant inside the hotel, where we enjoyed our dinner. The Breslin is by the Spotted Pig folks. They even serve the grilled cheese from the Spotted Pig, complete with onion compote, right in the lobby. I might have even had it for breakfast (shhh).
A few of the Ace residents...I wish I had gotten a picture of my favorite Ace creature - the taxidermy owl near the front desk.
I love the look of the flag above the lobby bar.
 "Ever Upwards"
What could be better than waking up in New York City for some Stumptown Coffee right out of Portland, OR. Well, there's a Stumptown right in the Ace as well.
Two Ace Hotel stays down, two to go. Portland and Seattle - you are on my list.
