Our San Francisco Fourth

The Pressman carved our initials in the fresh concrete
Spiking the watermelon
Being trained for fire duty on the boat
We spent our Fourth making ceviche, dark and stormys and spiked watermelon. Then, we headed to the Hyde Street Pier for the privilege of watching the fireworks from very close range and ensuring the historic ships didn't catch fire. It proved to be too windy and cold for my chosen red, white and blue ensemble, but I did manage to wear my boater hat for a while without the strong winds blowing it off.
