A few more snaps from the balmy part of the country

Stalking Dexter's House

I couldn't help but stalk Dexter's apartment while visiting Miami.
For those of you who may be tempted to do the's a trusty map!

Deco Miami

There's something magical about wandering Miami, trying to capture photos of as many of these beauties as you can. Each one unique in its own way. Some are lovely despite being in bad need of repair... some as pristine as I imagine them being 8 decades ago.

The hotels that weren't blocked by table after table of frat boys with fried food and margaritas (complete with two Coronoas inverted over the top) were especially lovely.

I'm curious about the annual Art Deco Weekend the preservation society puts on each January.

Thank you, The Mangement

I have a thing for collecting sign misspellings.
They make me smile.
I'm collecting them one by one, or in this case, two by two.

Vintage kitchen gadgets

An assortment of recently acquired vintage kitchen gadgets.
Most people would never need all this stuff, we actually use it.
Even the ravioli press. I love to make tarts in these little cast iron skillets.
These are from various places many for almost free: street sales, Oakland White Elephant sale and a couple from a lovely friends shop Pot + Pantry in the Mission.
